Textual Analysis
This is a double page spread taken from Q magazine about Shakira and how she recorded and produced her album. The main image is of her at work, showing her in a natural setting like many women in their work place, with her hair left wavey and no harsh or thick make up. This is then contrasted with the image on the right where she is now posing for the camera, being unnatural. With her hair straightened, more make up and in a very glamorous and sexy pose, showing a much more intimate side to her. The use of the word 'Danger!' catchs readers attention and as the photograph is large and the pages are laid out nicely it doesn't seem as though there is huge amounts of text, which can sometimes put people of reading an article. Using a quote in larger and bolder font will cause the audience to read this first and then read on to see the whole story.
