Textual Analysis

This is evidentally a very different type of music magazine. It seems a lot less main stream and more appealing to males rather than both sexes. It's again very simple with use of dull colours then the main features being in red to stand out and draw in attention. The logo is aimed at the younger generation because it looking like a teenagers design. The headline again isn't at the top of the page, the largest font runs through the middle of the page displaying the main story. It isn't a mainstream magazine, instead it is aimed at drum and bass fans. This is identified by the colours used and the font style. It is a neat, simple layout with a simple list, above the price and bar code, of featured stories and artists that will be discussed inside. The eyecontact of the men in the photo creates an intimate feeling, that we are going to be revealed the life of the stars and the fact that the photo doesn't seem to be airbrushed at a high level shows its not a typical high street magazine, more natural meaning its not about their image its simply about the music.
