Textual Analysis
This contents page is much different as it has a main feature headed 'Albums of 2009' directing you straight to a specific page of interviews, this makes the magazine very clear and easy to use. Another useful feature to this page is the band index down the lef hand side, meaning you can find a particular band and turn straight to the page you need. The mast head is made large at the top of the page, also using the magazine logo to represent NME. Like Kerrang's contents page its contents is also down the right hand side and split into sections that are clearly headed making sure readers can clearly find what they are looking for. It also has an advertisement at the bottom of the page to show discounts available on the magazine so customers are attracted to buy the lower cost and subscribe for a longer period of time. Also it is well known on reporting up and coming gigs as we see from 'The UK's No 1 gig guide' at the bottom of the page, showing its a well known magazine and has been voted number one by the public.
